For those people, who as part of their day to day job may need to operate Quick Cut saws, they are a great tool and time saver. They can also be very dangerous. This program gives users of Quick Cut saws a fundamental understanding of their care, operation, and safe use.
Participants will learn:
- Legislation associated with the use of Quick Cut saws
- Hazards associated with their use
- Safe work procedures
- Operation and field maintenance
- Inspection and cleaning of air cleaner
- Safe cutting techniques used to cut concrete, steel, iron and PVC
- Fuels and fuel safety
- Inspection and replacement of cutting blades
- Different cutting blades
- Personal Protective Equipment
There will also be a practical aspect to the training where participants will learn how to operate a Quick Cut saw safely using the required personal protective equipment (PPE), methods and procedures.
Length of the Program – 4 Hours
Number of Participants – max 8 participants
Participants must have their own safety glasses, boots, hearing protection hard hat and gloves.
